New work at new studio
Quite happy while making for the first firing. I got so sick while moving studio so went away for a month. Came back from visiting family, my lil sister had twins!! Total cuties
With all this marbling had to happen. I have been experimenting with this for a year, but this time I filled up the kiln with it. Also experimented with colours , some worked others not so. I focus was very much as to how my little kin will fire after being pulled down, shifted and rebuilt. Also the space is quite differnt which has an impact on atmospheric firings like wood or gas. I gas fire and adapted to flame pottery setup. A lot of learning. About my self and the firing. I messed up the bisque firing by going too fast as I had not figured out the new gas controls here. Also was quite windy in july, the real hot summer. Also, the glaze firing got over reduced which is not such a bad thing. Now I have to change my firing way. However, all in all a successful overall cone 10 firing. Super! Also my first not overly stressed firing. Stressed but since the pottery workers were going about their work, it helped me cool off a bit.
I love this marbling technique so much that although its such crazy work I am again making everthing marbled!! Any buyers::))
